Layers of Color was born in 2003 out of the idea of helping people create warm, inviting living spaces with color and textures that are unique and intriguing. The art of decorative painting for me started years ago with a natural sea sponge and some sage green paint. My home was my blank pallet and I began experimenting with many colors and tools to give different effects to walls. Through years of taking classes and self teaching, I have acquired much knowledge and experience in many types of decorative finishes. I have refined my own passions of painting and design and have developed a need to share that passion with others. I thrive on meeting new clients, listening to their needs, discussing their concerns and being able to come up with a solution that will make them very happy in their transformed space. I provide unique, one of a kind samples for my client’s approval. We discuss all the details of the project from start to finish so they have a clear understanding of what they are investing in.
Decorative Painting has changed in so many ways in the last few years and every geographical area has different design styles and architectural interests. Here in Northern California homeowners recognize the growing need to invest the smallest amount of money in their homes for the largest amount of return on their dollar. They understand that quality is much more important than quantity. It is proven that the kitchen and bath are the two main areas of the home where this is true. With my over 30 years of construction experience and a general contractor’s license in the state of California, as well as an experienced full service Interior Designer, I am an expert in this field. My clients need to know the most advantageous places to invest in their renovation projects and I am here to advise and guide them through that daunting process.
